Bushwick Book Club: Madame Bovary

A bit more proactive than your average book club, this excellent monthly event asks songwriters to read a book and then pen a few original songs about the work for a concert, to be performed at Bushwick venue Goodbye Blue Monday. This afternoon session takes place at the Dweck Center in Brooklyn Public Library, with participants riffing on Gustave Flaubert's racy classic, Madame Bovary, in celebration of Valentine's Day (of course).
