It's a busy week at Caramoor as the festival hits its stride in romantic Katonah. On Fri 20, genre-defying string quartet Brooklyn Rider makes its Caramoor debut, performing a group composition, as well as works by Ljova, Colin Jacobsen and Beethoven. On Sat 21, Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi stars rising soprano Eglise Gutiérrez as Juliet and stunning mezzo Kate Aldrich as Romeo—a performance not to be missed. The Grammy Award–winning Pacifica Quartet, the former Caramoor quartet-in-residence, takes the stage by storm in a concert featuring clarinetist Anthony McGill; they'll present a program of Mozart, Janacek and Smetana.
