Caramoor International Music Festival

Always a highlight of the summer arts calendar, Caramoor opens its new season—its last under the watch of imaginative artistic director Michael Barrett—with an orchestral gala on Sat 23. It's an all-Mendelssohn affair, with Gil Shaham as soloist in the Violin Concerto in E minor and Bebe Neuwirth as narrator of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
