Caramoor International Music Festival

Caramoor may be a bit off the beaten path, but the chance to see legendary Polish contralto Ewa Podle? returning to the role of Ciro in Rossini's Ciro in Babilonia on Sat 7 is well worth the trek. On Sun 8, the Brentano String Quartet celebrates its 20th anniversary with "Fragments: Connecting Past and Present"; the concert features pieces by six living composers that are related to those of Bach, Shostakovich and other past masters.
