The Merc hosts Chain and the Gang, in which Ian Svenonius (Nation of Ulysses, the Make-Up) sounds off as ever on conspiracies, capitalism and social etiquette. Opening Saturday is local lo-fi surf-rock group Coasting, while local upstarts Habibi and Alex Minoff lend support Sunday.
