Charles Lloyd New Quartet

Long a leading torchbearer for Coltrane's concept of the tenor sax as a vehicle for spiritual uplift, saxophonist Charles Lloyd is currently experiencing the latest of numerous resurgences since his initial 1960s heyday, boosted by a recent spate of albums issued by ECM. Lloyd's New Quartet is anchored by piano polymath Jason Moran, and propelled by bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Eric Harland.
