Cheick Hamala Diabate + CSC Funk Band + DJ Natasha Diggs

Malian griot musician and cousin of the great Touamani Diabate, Cheick Hamala Diabate is a master of the ngoni (predecessor to the American banjo). He's also a lecturer, dancer and choreographer, and we're pretty excited at the prospect of seeing him play such an intimate venue tonight. Also on the bill is CSC Funk Band, which offers hectic, ’70s-style jams nodding to James Brown, Fela and other icons of groove.
