Riccardo Muti has made a name for himself as a singular conductor of Verdi, and his phenomenal CSO recording of Verdi's Requiem brought home a pair of Grammys this year. So it makes sense that for his Carnegie debut with the Second City institution, he would opt for a large-scale concert version of Verdi's Otello. The young Latvian tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko tries to prove he can fulfill the monstrous title role.
