Earlier this summer Childish Gambino, the nom de rap of actor-comedian Donald Glover, made waves with his political "This Is America" video. While the follow-ups—"Summertime Magic" and "Feels Like Summer"—embrace a lighter, more tropical sonic palette, he hasn't backed off the provocations. The animated video for the latter features a crying Kanye in a MAGA hat being comforted by Michelle Obama. Mix that with the neo-soul stylings of his "Awaken, My Love!" album and the awkward backpack rap of his first two records, and you've got this stadium tour, which Glover has said will be his last. Judging by those efforts (and his increasingly assured, deservedly acclaimed TV project, Atlanta) expect something audacious and attention-grabbing.
