Drummer Chad Taylor reconvenes the trio heard on his excellent, underrated 2009 full-length, Circle Down, which found the leader, pianist Angelica Sanchez and bassist Chris Lightcap performing nimble, elegantly constructed postbop with the occasional free-jazz flourish.
