Time Out says

It’s initially difficult to fathom that Mark Cunningham, trumpet player for the Barcelona-residing duo Convolution, is the same guy whose stabbing bass anchored the late-’70s No Wave group Mars. But connect the chronological dots via the New York expat’s increasingly sophisticated ’80s and ’90s endeavors with the barbed, Afro-Brazilian-inflected Don King and the eclectic, ambient-leaning Raeo; then, take a much deeper hit of Convolution’s sultry opium bop. Tonight the band joins Outpost, a dark, bass-heavy art-punk outfit whose members have worked in cults acts such as Live Skull and Ike Yard.
