Counting Crows + Mean Creek

Counting Crows are supporting their first release in four years, Underwater Sunshine, which is a covers album. Though the band certainly has as many rabid detractors as cultish fans, we fall somewhere in the middle. Sure, Adam Duritz & Co. have a penchant for the sappy, but at their best (see August and Everything After), they hit upon a warm and surprisingly affecting blend of country, pop and alternative rock.
