Time Out says

Twenty-two-year-old Daniel Bachman hails from Virginia and proffers rippling and impressively nimble finger-picked tunes on his steel string guitar. His current LP Seven Pines tips its hat to Appalachian traditions but with an added psychedelic twist. It’s a standout bill top-to-bottom: On before Bachman is Mark Fosson, a skillful Leo Kottke–esque guitar soloist, whom John Fahey signed to his Takoma label in the late ’70s. (Unfortunately, Takoma folded before it could release any Fosson material, but Drag City and Tompkins Square have since issued some of the guitarist's vintage work.) Opening is revered outsider-folkie Stampfel, who performs early before dashing off for his headline set at Zebulon later tonight.
