David Johansen

David Johansen wears many hats: He became a punk legend singing in the New York Dolls in the ’70s, conceived pop persona Buster Poindexter in the ’80s, won a cult singing folk songs as David Johansen and the Harry Smiths and, most recently, reconvened an increasingly shrinking Dolls reunion. Tonight he performs under his own name at this An Evening With… show, so expect to hear work from across the board.
