David Krakauer

Equally comfortable performing classical and klezmer, this versatile clarinetist presents a concert not to be missed, playing alongside the Phoenix Chamber Ensemble. The diverse program features the world premiere of Inessa Zaretsky's Six Poems for Tamar, works by Brahms and Messaien, and Steve Reich's New York Counterpoint for clarinet and ten prerecorded clarinets. Traditional klezmer tunes and improvisations are also on the bill.
