David Krakauer and Matt Haimovitz with Socalled

Two supremely creative artists—Klezmer clarinetist Krakauer and cellist Haimovitz—meditate on Messiaen's midcentury stunner Quartet for the End of Time. In addition to a complete performance of the original, the concert also features Krakauer's Akoka, inspired by the Jewish clarinetist Henri Akoka, who premiered the work in a German prisoner-of-war camp, and Meanwhile, a multimedia remix of the Messiaen by Canadian hip-hop artist Socalled.
