David Murray Big Band with Macy Gray

One of the most powerful and uproarious ’80s outfits to emerge from the late-’70s loft-jazz scene, tenor saxophonist David Murray's wild, woolly Big Band returns to Iridium, the site of its 2012 collaboration with guitarist James Blood Ulmer, for a team-up with scratchy-voiced soul eccentric Macy Gray. The repertoire includes fresh arrangements of Gray favorites, as well as new pieces composed by Murray especially for the singer.
