Dezron Douglas New Jazz Workshop

Any time the word workshop turns up on a jazz club's marquee, it's pretty much always meant to evoke the freewheeling spirit of adventure fostered in spontaneous jam sessions organized by the great bandleader Charles Mingus—and that goes double when a bassist is in charge. All of which means you can count on Dezron Douglas to make it up on the fly as he puts his quintet through its paces tonight.
