Tickets are long gone for part two of Robert Lepage's monstrous new Ring cycle, which features an all-star cast including Bryn Terfel as head god Wotan; Stephanie Blythe as his wife, Fricka; Deborah Voigt as his warrior daughter Brünnhilde (the Valkyrie herself); and Jonas Kaufmann and Eva-Maria Westbroek as the Wälsungen twins. James Levine is on the podium, ensuring that Wagner's score sparkles for the whole five hours.
