Dig Deeper: Dean Parrish

Dusty-fingered record freaks Mr. Robinson and DJ Honky are back with their night devoted to vintage funk and soul. This month’s edition sees the pair bringing in another in the shindig's series of fabled stars, with the Northern Soul icon Dean Parrish (his "I'm on My Way" was the last record ever played at that scene's epicenter, Wigan Casino) making what's only his second appearance in his hometown in 43 years. He'll be backed by the Solid Set, with the Black Hollies opening up.
