As usual, the good folks behind the retro-minded Dig Deeper series have booked a doozy of a headliner: collectors' fave R&B crooner Paul Sindab, who performed with Wilson Pickett, Dionne Warwick and Jackie Wilson—and even planned a collaboration with Sam Cooke, shortly before the singer's death—during his ’60s heyday. (Check out the magical "I Was a Fool" for a quick taste.) Sandib currently lives in Austin, where he keeps emus on a farm (!), but he's back in NYC, reprising his classic sides for the first time in decades with help from Dig Deeper house ensemble the Brooklyn Rhythm Band.
