DJ Rekha + Red Baraat

Midsummer Night Swing. A pioneer in Punjabi beats, DJ Rekha leads this bhangra party which features Red Baraat, the local combo led by drummer and bandleader Sunny Jain—said to be the first Indian marching band in the United States. The group explores the exuberant Punjabi wedding-band tradition (baraat is the Hindi word for a wedding processional), as well as Bollywood classics and original tunes. The admission price includes a free dance class at 6:30pm.
