Doug Paisley is a Canadian singer-songwriter with some high-placed fans: His album, Constant Companion, features singing by Leslie Feist and keyboards from Garth Hudson; he has also worked with Will Oldham. Paisley's sound is old-fashioned—the bright side of ’70s soft rock—with smart songs dipped in tasteful, understated arrangements. Here he's joined by mystical country-rocker D. Charles Speer.
