Ecstatic Sunshine, a band that has undergone some lineup shuffling over the past decade, proves its knack for crafting sparkly, life-affirming guitarscapes remains intact on recent release Yesterday's Work. In tonight's benefit for Showpaper, the group joins Parts & Labor's Dan Friel, who plays more rugged, minimal versions of songs his main band might entertain, in which triumphant melodies vie with glinting electronic noise.
