El Guincho + Snehasish Mozumder

Pablo Díaz-Reixa, the eclectic Spanish performer and producer better known as El Guincho, follows up the massive success of last year's album, Alegranza!, with a new LP, Pop Negro. It's a more straightforward, subdued take on pop stylings best evidenced by songs like "Bombay" and "Novias." Opening up, Snehasish Mozumder offers jazz-tinged improvisations on North Indian classical ragas, performed on the double-neck mandolin. Yeah, we've got one of those too.
