Founded as Three Souls in My Mind back in 1966, El Tri virtually invented rock en español, weathering decades underground as a result. Don't show up expecting tropical flourishes or postmodern irony, though—the band specializes in a gritty blues-rock that casts frontman Alex Lora as his country's Mick and Keith all wrapped up in one. The rest of the band has fluctuated over the years, but remains in top form; pay special attention to blues-harp virtuoso Rafael Salgado.
