Eliane Elias: Brazil

Veteran pianist Eliane Elias's vocal range is about as wide as Diana Krall's; if you figured out that that means "not very," you get a gold star. She's a nonpareil keyboardist, though, and her latest Blue Note release, Bossa Nova Stories, finds her in strong company with bassist Marc Johnson and drummer Paulo Braga; Rafael Barata takes over the drum stool here, and Rubens de La Corte sits in on guitar.
