Steve Schick, already a percussion legend, has been busy making a name for himself as a visionary conductor. Before he takes over as artistic director of the San Francisco Contemporary Chamber Players in the fall, he stops off in NYC to lead the talented young crew in a program that juxtaposes Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 with Dutilleux's Les Citations, Kurtág's Wind Quintet and Adès's Chamber Symphony.
