Canadian guitarist Erik Mongrain plays gorgeous instrumental melodies embellished with “lap tapping,” which involves, well, tapping the guitar while it’s on his lap. His most recent studio recording is the reflective Equilibrium. Support comes from cellist, pianist and composer Dave Eggar. Not the fashionable author (with a typo) then.
