Evolving Voice and Music

The weekly avant-jazz series continues. Tonight's edition (Feb 28) features Giant Dwarf (10pm); the trio of saxist Louie Belogenis, bassist Dave Hofstra and drummer Lou Grassi (9pm); a project led by vocalist Gino Sitson (8pm); and the trio of Sitson, fellow singer Mossa Bildner and trumpeter–bass clarinetist Matt Lavelle. Next week's installment (Mar 7) features bands led by multi-instrumentalist Tom Chess (10pm), saxist Mikko Innanen (9pm), and vocalists Gaia Matteuzzi (8pm) and Bonnie Barnett (7pm).
