Florencia en el Amazonas

The reorganized New York City Opera presents Daniel Catán's 1996 magical-realist opera about strangers on the steamboat El Dorado, going down the Amazon in the early 1900s. Among the passengers is opera diva Florencia Grimaldi. Director John Hoomes re-creates his eye-popping multimedia staging, first seen at Nashville Opera.
