Fork + BB&C

BB&C—the collective trio of saxist Tim Berne, drummer Jim Black and guitarist Nels Cline—affords the chance to hear each of these formidable experimentalists at his rawest and, dare we say, most metallic. If the trio's 2011 full-length, The Veil, is any indication, you're in for some seriously skronky tussles, undergirded by beefy art-funk vamps. The core group opens the show before expanding to the quintet known as Fork, which brings Berne, Black and Cline together with bassist Devin Hoff and drummer Ches Smith.
