Free Cake For Every Creature is the homespun twee-rock project of Philly-by-way-of-upstate-NY artist Katie Bennett. The delicately wistful sounds off her new LP talking quietly of anything with you, full of world-weary optimism, fit squarely alongside the bedroom rock stylings of her Double Double Whammy labelmates (see the epically prolific Frankie Cosmos or "twee punk" softies Quarterbacks). This iteration of the Seriously Joking concert series also features comedians Steven Markow, Patti Harrison and Joe Pera.
