Furthur, a Grateful Dead spin-off fronted by Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, has consistently proved itself to be the very best pod off the old mothership: Keyboardist Jeff Chimenti is a well-seasoned hand, guitarist and singer John Kadlecik conveys the spirit of Jerry without slavish imitation, and Joe Russo easily exudes the energy and spirit of two drummers.
