Future Drone + Anthony Coleman

German drummer Joe Hertenstein presents the earthy, probing free-jazz trio heard on his new Jazzwerkstatt release, Future Drone; joining him here are saxist Jon Irabagon and bassist Ken Filiano. The evening opens with a solo set by pianist Anthony Coleman, a staunch experimentalist who also knows his Ellington, Jelly Roll Morton and Sephardic music cold.
