For a scene ostensibly about "outcasts and freaks," punk has always maintained a focus on white, cisgender men—a reality to which this show points a glaring middle finger. Creating a piercingly fierce trans girl's manifesto out of just five brief minute-long songs, hardcore hard-femme five-piece G.L.O.S.S. (Girls Living Outside Society's Shit) embodies and epitomizes the genre's fundamental principles (brevity, outsider power) while demolishing its masculine values. Local queercore outfit Aye Nako sets the stage with its pop-punk-tinged punches aimed at the surrounding "White Noise."
