Future-funk powerhouse Galactic is straight from the stripped-down, organ-fueled Meters school, but the band knows when to spike the punch with acid guitar, loops and effects. The NOLA outfit plays a two-nighter this week, with openers including the Revivalists (Mar 27) and BoomBox (Mar 28).
