When Gang of Four—the most stridently political band of the British postpunk explosion and, ultimately, one of the most musically influential—reunited in 2005, the promise was clear: one tour, all original members, no new songs. But a decade on, the group's still at it, or rather, guitarist-cofounder Andy Gill is. He's the sole original member on new album What Happens Next, a decent set of electronica-infused art pop that bears little resemblance to the late-’70s and early-’80s material that won the group its cachet.
