If you can judge a rising jazz musician by the company he keeps, then pianist George Burton, a young Philadelphian already admired for his inside-outside conception, clearly means business: Joining him on the Smalls bandstand are saxophonist Tim Warfield, bassist Noah Jackson and drummer Wayne Smith Jr. Trumpet ace Terell Stafford will also be on hand May 10.
