George Wein and the Newport All-Stars

Well before he became one of the most powerful impresarios in jazz history, George Wein was an ivory-tickling swinger. He gets back to those roots tonight in the company of some serious heavy hitters—saxophonist Lew Tabackin, trumpeter Randy Brecker, guitarist Howard Alden, bassist Rufus Reid and drummer Lewis Nash—and unnamed special guests are promised.
