Geri Allen and John Zorn Duo

Saxophonist, composer and scene maker John Zorn is known for a great many things, but straight-up postbop isn't high up the list—and that's a shame, because Zorn's work in the Sonny Clark Memorial Quartet and New for Lulu proved that he can play changes with the best of them. We're not saying that's definitely what's up for this unexpected duet with pianist and Stone guest curator Geri Allen—they could as easily blow free. Admit it, you're curious, right?
