Gordon Voidwell, an act that Das Racist member Himanshu Suri calls “a reclamation of black music from the Talking Heads,” is a retro-funk outfit centered on Will Johnson. Tracks like “Ivy League Circus” and “Standard & Poor (Bread)” exhibit pulsing, synth-fraught, futuristic grooves. Also on the bill is Oberhofer, whose namesake, the superyoung Brad Oberhofer, creates one-man bedroom indie pop you'd think was the result of more sophisticated techniques, and rising Brooklyn combo Shark?, which sounds like Adam Green fronting the Pixies having listened to a lot of surf rock on vacation.
