Atlanta garage-rock quartet Gringo Star conjures gritty Americana of the ’70s, with a healthy dose of scuzzy pop to keep listeners dancing. The group plays behind its third disc, the spacey, psychedelic Floating Out to See—a perfectly tuned soundtrack for a hazy summer night. On June 12 the band is joined by Slothrust, Flagland, Mannequin Pussy and Washer for a Northside Festival show; on June 14, Brothertiger, New Myths, AMFMS and Andrew Hammond round out the bill.
