Harlem Renaissance Orchestra with Frank Wess

Midsummer Night Swing. As with last year, the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra gives a fittingly bold and brassy send-off to this swing season with its big-band tribute to sax legend Illinois Jacquet, with assistance from venerable saxman Frank Wess; you'll hear classics from Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Count Basie (with whom Wess has played). The admission price includes a free dance class at 6:30pm, and tonight's show also features a Lindy Hoppin' dance contest.
