This annual multi-city showcase of "activist street bands"—and yes, that phrase does describe an actual movement—blankets the city. First up are NYC's beloved Hungry March Band (Oct 13), France's Radio Kaizman (Oct 14) and Seattle's Chaotic Noise Marching Corps (Oct 15), all playing free shows at One Penn Plaza. Littlefield also hosts an Oct 15 event featuring local faves Frank London's Klezmer Brass All-Stars, PitchBlak Brass Band, Raya Brass Band and more. The festivities continue Oct 17 at Gowanus Ballroom with Spanglish Fly, Hungry March Band, Underground Horns and more; Oct 18 with Kenny Wollesen and others at Tompkins Square Park, Paris's Les Muses Tanguent at Barbès and a closing-night blowout in a top-secret locale.
