Hot Club of Cowtown

Austin trio Hot Club of Cowtown plays the country-jazz hybrid known as Western swing. As its name indicates, the band looks beyond subgenre bigwig Bob Wills and in the direction of Gypsy-jazz kings Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli—check out last year's Rendezvous in Rhythm for evidence—but it really kicks it live.
