Ian Bostridge and Thomas Adès

Ian Bostridge lends his deeply expressive tenor voice to Schumann's exquisite Romantic song cycle Dichterliebe. A thread of despair runs through the rest of the program, which spans the Renaissance to today with a lineup of dark-tinted songs by Dowland, Schubert, Liszt, Kurtág and Thomas Adès, who also happens to be the pianist for the evening.
