Ictus Records Nights

Launched in 1976, the Ictus label mostly charted the adventures of free-improvising percussionist Andrea Centazzo, who ceased label activities in 1984 and resumed them in 2005. Entering the home stretch of a two-week residency, the label presents Italian newcomers on Thu 12; Fri 13 is a Steve Lacy tribute featuring Joe McPhee, Roberto Ottaviano, Joe Giardullo and others. Ottaviano returns for the early set on Sat 14, followed with a climactic percussion summit with Centazzo, Barry Altschul and Andrew Cyrille.
