Ingebrigt Håker Flaten

Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, the bassist in bruising Scandinavian avant-jazz supertrio the Thing and leader of scrappy Austin fusion unit the Young Mothers, hits Brooklyn for an evening of promising collaborations. He plays duo sets with bassist Pascal Niggenkemper and cellist Daniel Levin before anchoring a trio with saxist Tony Malaby and drummer Gerald Cleaver.
