While trilling guitars and jackhammer blast beats play their roles in the work of Washington-via-Colombia black-metal duo Inquisition, frontman Dagon’s strangely serene croak and the band’s penchant for trancing out on gnarled down-tempo riffs contribute to a singular metallic sound world. This week the band visits Greenpoint for a two-night stand, with Black Anvil, Woe and Trenchgrinder opening on Thursday, and Castevet and Villains sharing Friday's bill.
